Once you install the add-on or extension on your web browser, you can directly download any file using XDM directly from your browser. You will also find a “Download video” option on the web page playing a video. You can download the streaming video directly using XDM by clicking on it.
XDM also allows you to disable browser integration by just a click. All you need to do is find the XDM add-on or extension in your browser, click on it and deselect “Browser monitoring”.
Capturing videos using XDM

- Go to XDM menu -> XDM MediaGrabber or click on “Grabber” button on the toolbar.
- Play the video in the browser, or refresh the page if it is already playing.
- Select the captured video files in the XDM MediaGrabber
